The Drawing Grade Exams: A Real First Step

A good place to begin is the Drawing Grade Examinations conducted by the Directorate of Art, Maharashtra (Mumbai). Students who pass receive official grades and valid certificates. There are two levels — Elementary first, then Intermediate (from age 12). Both need steady, methodical preparation. Some schools coach for them; many simply do not have the time or focus. That is where a dedicated class helps.

And these exams are more than a certificate. They sharpen the very skills — observation, visualisation, patience — that your child will lean on for years. Good grades here can open later doors too: architecture, interior design, fine arts, animation, advertising, product design.
